In order to construct a web site, Total Computer Solutions uses a design methodology that separates the ten phases typically involved in the creation of a web site.

These stages are identified as the following:

1)    Concept Development
The most important of all phases. All team members should agree to objectives,  prioritization of objectives, and then create a design document from this conceptual  thinking.

2)    Specifications and Planning

Identify technical details of what and when is required from all involved. Set deliverable   dates and timelines.

3)    Creative Direction
Design of site template, which outlines the general look and feel, as well as navigation,  of the site.

4)    Content Production

Migration of existing content, such as graphics and text, to formats suitable for a web  site. In addition, new content may need to be created for the sole purpose of web  publishing.

5)    Content Integration
Content of all forms and sizes is brought together and placed into web site, based
upon design templates.

6)    Software Integration
To allow interactive web content, programs are written and incorporated into web site.

7)    Testing and Quality Assurance
Rigorous testing must be performed on the site, both from a technical and content  perspective.

8)    Launch and Marketing
Implementation of the site onto a web server and the registration of the site with web  search engines.

9)    Content and Technology Maintenance

The content of the site needs to be updated frequently and checked for accuracy.  Computer hardware also requires constant attention, performed either by an in-house  webmaster or a third part sever host.

10)    Tracking Usage
For the ability to gauge the activity on the site so one can determine what is working and what is not (in terms of content).
